This ensemble was built from the Undergarments out. The outer Gown is Black Italian Velveteen, with a Gold Embroidered trim added. The Underskirt is of cotton with Cotton Brocade Forepart. The Partlet and Wrist Ruffs are Silk Organza. The Sleves are detachable with hooks and threaded loops under the shoulder straps. Most of this project was done by hand over 156 logged hours. This is a recreation of a 1565 portrait of the Scottish Queen. |
